ORFORDVILLE - The Juda Panthers are off to a fast start, and it's only the second week of the season. Already playing in their fourth game of the season, the Panthers got their third win Thursday with a 49-46 victory over the Orfordville Parkview Vikings.

Leading 48-46 with 28 seconds remaining, senior Alycia Grenzow was fouled and made one of two free throws to give the Panthers a three-point lead. The Vikings missed a three-point attempt and the Panthers got the rebound and ran out the clock.

Juda was paced by Grenzow's 13 points, followed by junior Ellen Kiser with 11. Senior Aly Pierce added 10 points, junior C. J. Dunwiddie scored eight, and junior Amber Ramos contributed seven points for the Panthers.

"It was nice to have five girls step up and score, giving us good balance," said Juda head coach Curtis Brown.

Juda will be on the road again tonight for a non-conference game at Johnson Creek.

Schween scored 16 points and junior Alycia Atwell had nine points.

"It just didn't work out for us," New Glarus coach Megan Scheele said. "We will come back Monday and be ready again."
