Juda shoots past Argyle in 2nd half

ARGYLE - Juda used a monster second half to pick up a big conference victory Thursday over Argyle, 45-28.

Both teams played strong defense and kept the points down throughout much of the first half. The Panthers went into halftime with a slim 14-13 lead.

However, in the third quarter, Juda put up 18 points and outscored the Orioles 31-15 in the second half.

Beau Benner led all scorers with 18 points for Juda (1-2, 1-1 Six Rivers East). Dylan Bauman (11 points) and Tyler Pierce (10) also finished in double figures for the Panthers.

Matt Cash and Kevin Berg each scored 10 points for Argyle (0-3, 0-2).

Juda will host Monticello next week, while Argyle will travel to Black Hawk.
