JUDA - Senior Nicki Becker tossed a four-hit shutout to lead the Juda-Albany softball team to a 7-0 win over Highland Thursday.
Becker struck out 12 and didn't issue a walk. Juda-Albany (2-1, 2-0 Six Rivers East) jumped out to an early lead with a three-run first inning. Becker went 2-for-3 at the plate.
Juda-Albany senior Sammi Detra hit a solo home run in the sixth and finished with three RBIs.
Fennimore 11, Darlington 8
DARLINGTON - Locked in a tie game going into the eighth inning, Fennimore scored three runs to stun the Redbirds in a comeback win.
Darlington's Bethany McDonald went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and one RBI. Teammate Holly Ray finished the game 2-for-3 with three runs scored and one RBI, and Darlington's Chloe Muhlstein was 2-for-5 with two RBIs.
Darlington built a 5-0 lead after five innings. The Eagles had a four-run sixth and a four-run seventh to force extra innings.
Alyssa Tuescher of Darlington pitched a complete game and gave up 10 runs on 10 hits. She struck out three and walked eight.
