MONROE - The Monroe High School boys soccer team's game at Mount Horeb on Tuesday was postponed due to injuries.
Monroe coach Tony Vasquez said since the team only had 10 players available and that was the reason the game was postponed. It's not determined when the game will be rescheduled.
Several Monroe soccer players have been battling ankle and hamstring injuries. A prep soccer team needs 11 players on the field to play a game.
"We couldn't suit up enough guys to have a game and to have subs," Vasquez said. "It's nothing serious. We just have a lot of guys with soft tissue injuries. By the time we play Fort Atkinson, it will give us about one week of rest."
Monroe will host Fort Atkinson at 5 p.m. Thursday at Honey Creek Park.
