HTL:: Monroe, Wiota and New Glarus all get wins

MONROE - The Monroe Brewers topped Pine Bluff 6-3 in Home Talent Night League action, Thursday.

Former Cheesemaker Adam Siegenthaler drove in the go-ahead run in the bottom of a four-run sixth inning. Monroe resident Dave Cline and Tyler Goninen each had RBI singles in the inning as well.

Ben Korth pitched the first three innings for the Brewers and Rooney Janecke pitched the final four innings of hitless ball in relief to pick up the win.

Wiota 5, Hollandale 1

HOLLANDALE - Tommy Meier had two doubles and Nick Flannery picked up the win in relief for Wiota.

Wiota scored a run in each of the first, third and sixth innings, and two in the fifth, pounding out eight hits in the process.

Hollandale's offense could only muster four hits against Meier and Flannery.

New Glarus 5,

Ridgeway 3

RIDGEWAY - Brandon Bayrhoffer went all nine innings and had 10 strikeouts as the New Glarus Tourists upended Ridgeway.

Chris Rear was 2-for-4 with an RBI double and Lee Vlasask also doubled for New Glarus.
