MONROE - Platteville-Lancaster's Ryan Roling scored three goals to propel the Hillmen to a 3-0 win over Monroe on Friday.

"It took a lot out of us to play Sauk," Monroe coach Tony Vasquez said of the Cheesemakers non-conference game Tuesday where Monroe tied Sauk Prairie 3-3. "It wasn't apparent until five or 10 minutes into the game and we had to sub."

With the loss, Monroe drops to 2-3-1.

Roling scored his first goal at 16 minutes, 27 seconds. He added his second goal on an assist from Nick Mewhiiter at 32:59. He scored his third goal to net the hat trick on a pass from Dylan Shinee at 41:52.

Monroe sophomore goalkeeper Devan Schulte had six saves.

"All three goals he scored were on hustle plays," Vasquez said. "He outhustled us to the ball."
