HIGHLAND - The Pecatonica softball team opened its season with a 15-4 loss to Highland on Monday night.

The Vikings had just three hits and committed three errors.

Pecatonica junior Kaci Cassidy pitched five innings and struck out four. She walked seven and gave up seven hits.
