MONROE - The Green County Gems gymnastics team had 24 gymnasts bring home top-three finishes on the floor, uneven bars, balance beam and vault in the first meet of the season at Waukesha on Saturday.
Breanna Giasson, 8, a Level 2 gymnast, finished first in the vault (9.5) and first on the floor (9.1). Kyla Ziolkowski, 9, won the all-around competition (36.65), was first on the bars (9.5), and took first on the beam (9.25). Lily Bobak, 8, won the bars (9.5). Sophia McGuire, 5, took third place on the beam (9.1) and third in the vault (9.4).
Karis Paulson, 8, won four of the five events she competed in the Level 3 field. Paulson won the all-around competition (37) and finished first on the bars (9.4), beam (9.25) and vault (9.35). She took second place on the floor (9). Maddie Deegan, 9, finished first on the beam (9.35) and on the vault (9.35). She was second in the all-around competition (35.7) and second on the floor (8.6). Ripplee Dunlavey, 8, won the floor (9.15) and took second on the beam (9.2) and the all-around (36.65).
Bri Seagreaves, 11, won the beam (9.35) and took second on the bars (9.25) and the floor (8.65). She finished third in the all-around (35.55). Maddison Markham, 9, won the beam (9.15) and took second on the bars (9.1). She finished third in the all-around (35.85). Jill Marty, 9, won the vault (9.35) and took second on the floor (8.6). Elizabeth Brennan, 13, finished first on the bars (9.3) and the floor (9.15), and she was second on the vault (9.4) and in the all-around (36.4). Lexi Davis, 12, took second in the vault (9.4) and was second on the beam (8.9).
In the Level 4 field, Faith Koester, 11, finished first on the beam (9.3) and second on the bars (8.8) and the all-around (35.6). She took third in the vault (9.3). Heather Burkhalter, 11, won the bars (9.05), finished second on the floor (8.85), and was third in the all-around (35.55). Kayla Paulson finished third on the bars (8.75), beam (8.85) and all-around (35.3).
In the Level 5 competition, Rae Teubert, 12, finished first in the all-around (36.4), and she took first on the beam (9.45), floor (9.45) and vault (8.5). She finished second on the bars (9). Miranda Klitzman, 14, added a third-place finish on the vault (8.2) and Anya Teasdale, 12, was third on the bars (8.6).
Jordan Hirsbrunner, 14, won the all-around (31.15) Level 6 competition and finished second on the floor (8) and third on the vault (8.35). Casey Rielly, 13, was third on the beam (8.4).
Josie Eberle, 14, finished second on the bars (8) and on the floor (9) in the Level 7 competition. She took second in the all-around (33.45). Sadie Swenson, 17, won the vault (8.8) and Tre Voegeli, 16, took third on the bars (7.5), vault (8.5) and in the all-around (32.8).
In the Xcel gold optional division, Meredith Hose, 13, won the bars (9.45) and the floor (9.15). She took second in the all-around (36.50) and third on the beam (9).
