Glarner Knights overpowering in win vs. Columbus

COLUMBUS - New Glarus junior Jaden Kreklow scored a game-high 22 points and drilled four 3-pointers to power the Glarner Knights to a 83-62 win over Columbus Tuesday.

New Glarus (2a-0) jumped out to a 48-25 lead in the first half. The Knights hit seven 3-pointers as a team.

New Glarus senior Cullen Brooks and junior Zach Feller each added 17 points. Sophomore Connor Siegenthaler chipped in 13 points.

In other action, Darlington, a WIAA Division 4 state qualifier last year, clipped Barneveld 57-52 in the season opener for the Redbirds. Argyle defeated Belmont 56-49 to improve to 1-1.
