BELOIT - The Fury girls high school hockey team shut out Metro Lynx 5-0 on Tuesday.
After a scoreless first period, the Fury found some fire and put up four goals in the second period. Maggie Henschler scored two unassisted goals, Cammi Ganshert found the back of the back, assisted by Anika Einbeck, and on a pass from Haley Knauf, Anne Runde fired one in from the blue line.
At the top of the third, Haley Knauf fed the net unassisted. The Fury outshot the Lynx 25-11 as McKaylie Buescher earned her sixth shut-out of the season.
The Fury next face Cap City Cougars in another conference game in Beloit at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
