FORT ATKINSON - Fort Atkinson's top two golfers reached and hit one below the course average Tuesday to beat Monroe 170-155.
Leading the Cheesemakers for the team's low scores were Nick Baumann, who shot a 40, and Matt Miller and Eric Timm, who both shot a 41. Tanner Thompson finished with a 48.
"We played okay," Monroe coach Braden Rindy said. "Fort (Atkinson) shot really well, especially their top two golfers, which put us in a bad position. (But) we missed a lot of putts, and had a lot of outs, and that has kind of been our Achilles heel."
