MONROE - The Monroe golf team will enter the Badger Conference tournament next week on a two-match losing streak after dropping a dual match to Fort Atkinson 167-173 Tuesday at the Monroe Country Club.
Monroe sophomore Nick Baumann shot a 4-over-par 38 to lead the Cheesemakers. Senior teammate Matt Miller shot a 6-over-par 40 for the top two for the Cheesemakers.
Fort Atkinson was led by Kyle Schneider who carded a 2-over-par-36. The Cheesemakers' No. 3 and 4 golfers struggled. Monroe junior Tanner Thompson shot a 45 and Collyn Wilde carded a 50.
With the loss, Monroe drops to 2-4 Badger South.
