MONROE - The Monroe Senior Legion baseball team lost 4-1 to Fort Atkinson Wednesday, June 19.
Monroe's Desmond Ford went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Monroe committed two errors and that led to three runs for Fort Atkinson.
"They (Fort Atkinson) made more plays than we did," Monroe coach Eric Losenegger said. "We left a lot of guys on base."
Lucas Nueunschwander pitched four innings for Monroe and gave up two uneanred runs on three hits. He struck out two. Ryan Erickson pitched two innings in releif and gave up two runs, but just one earned on four hits.
Monroe (2-1) hosts Jefferson at noon Saturday in a doubleheader.
