WISCONSIN DELLS - New Glarus sophomore Zach Feller drilled a 3-pointer at the buzzer on a sideline inbound play to give the Glarner Knights a thrilling 65-64 win over Adams Friendship on Saturday at JustAgame Fieldhouse in the Wisconsin Dells.
Feller came off of two staggered screens and then buried the game-winning 3-pointer.
"It's the play we drew up during the timeout," New Glarus coach Travis Sysko said. "That was our No. 1 option. I felt comfortable with him taking that opportunity. He made the most of it.
"I thought it was a tremendous win. We beat a really good Adams Friendship team that was undefeated and is one of the favorites in their conference. Hopefully, it will help us as we move forward."
New Glarus junior Cullen Brooks scored a game-high 23 points. Feller scored 21 points and hit five 3-pointers, while sophomore Jaden Kreklow added 17 points. The Knights hit nine 3-pointers as a team.
Adams Friendship's C.J. Tikkanen scored a team-high 22 points.
The Monroe boys basketball team's game at Milton on Saturday was postponed. A makeup date has not been set yet.
