BURLINGTON - The Juda softball team's postseason run ended with a 6-0 loss to Racine Lutheran in a WIAA Division 4 sectional semifinal Wednesday.
"I told the girls you can't judge your season on one game," Juda coach Bill Davis said.
Racine Lutheran broke the game open with a four-run sixth inning with a single just over the shortstop.
"They had a couple of bleeders in that big inning," Davis said.
Juda juniors Megan Trotter and Aly Pierce each had singles. Lutheran struck out five of the first six hitters. Juda had 11 strikeouts as a team.
"If we want to get to the next level, we will have to see that better pitching," Davis said. "We will have to adjust that with scheduling."
Juda sophomore Amber Ramos pitched a complete game and she struck out 10. Juda finished the season 15-9.
"She (Ramos) threw a good game for us," Davis said. "Sometimes you just don't get the breaks to go your way."
