MONROE - Two Monroe baseball players received Badger South All-Conference honors recently.
Monroe senior Hogan Edwards was named first-team all-conference as a utility player. Edwards was the ace pitcher for the Cheesemakers and also played third base. He was one of two unanimous all-conference selections.
The other unanimous pick was Madison Edgewood senior Ryan Wiedenbeck who was also named the conference's player of the year.
Monroe senior Cole Murray was named second-team all-conference as an infielder.
Monroe finished the season 7-17, 3-9 Badger South, which was last in the conference. Monroe's season came to an end after a 13-3 loss to second-ranked Beloit Turner in a WIAA Division 2 regional semifinal game.
