BENTON - The Six Rivers East boys All-Star team received a big game from Monticello's Brandon Holz to beat the West 88-84 on Friday.
Holz scored 23 points and made a trio of 3-pointers to jump-start the East. Black Hawk's Michael Place had 10 points and Juda's Beau Benner added eight.
T.J. Zweifel of Albany and Juda's Tyler Pierce each scored seven as the East jumped out to 37-33 halftime lead.
Argyle's Andy Bohlman and Pecatonica's Milton Kurschner each scored six.
In the girls All-Star game the Six Rivers West defeated the East, 68-59.
The West jumped out to a 35-25 halftime lead. Barneveld's Melissa Carmody scored 13 of her game-high 19 points in the first half for the East.
Black Hawk's Paige Butler, who surpassed 1,000 career points last season, scored seven.
Monticello's Sarah Silver scored four and Albany's Nicolette Blumer had three. Pecatonica's Brittany Kent was limited to just three points.
