ALBANY - Barneveld junior Teagen Pickarts scored 18 points and drilled three 3-pointers to help the Golden Eagles cruise to a 67-26 win over Albany on Monday.

"Teagen is a really good player," Albany coach Adam Wamsley said. "Even without Hannah Whitish they are still a skilled and experienced team. They played like it tonight. They come on the road on a Monday night and play well and they did that. That is what experienced teams do."

With the win, Barneveld improves to 7-5, 3-1 Six Rivers East. Barneveld junior Courtney Skaife added 14 points and senior Abigail Stutter chipped in nine points.

The Eagles raced out to a 41-14 lead in the first half. Albany junior Haley Freitag scored a team-high eight points. Sophomore teammate Payton Zurfluh added six points.

The Eagles enjoyed an edge at the free throw line, making 14 of 22 compared to the Comets which shot 8 of 18. With the loss, Albany drops to 0-11, 0-4 Six Rivers East.

Juda 66, Pecatonica 17

BLANCHARDVILLE - Juda had a big surge in the first half and rode that momentum to a Six Rivers East Conference win over Pecatonica on Monday.

Juda's Hannah Powers scored nine points, while senior Alexis Goecks and junior Hailey Kammerer each added seven points. With the win, Juda improves to 8-4, 2-1 Six Rivers East.

Pecatonica senior Adriana Johnson scored a team-high eight points and knocked down two 3-pointers. Senior teammate Jess Erickson chipped in five points. With the loss, Pecatonica drops to 0-11, 0-4.

"They beat us on the offensive glass and with ball movement," Pecatonica coach Bobby Rose said. "We were just a step slow moving our feet and boxing out today. They were getting all of the loose balls and beating us to the spots."
