MONROE - Registration has started for the second of three summer tennis tournaments - the doubles tournament sponsored by the Monroe Parks and Recreation Department.
The doubles tournament is scheduled for the weekend of July 13-14. The tournament is open to anyone. Each team is guaranteed two matches with a consolation side in each bracket.
The tournament will have a Mens Class A, the championship flight; Mens Class B for intermediate skilled teams; a Women's Open bracket; and a youth bracket for players 14 and younger.
The entry fee is $20 per team for high school age and older, and $10 for the 14 and younger teams.
The women's and the youth bracket will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 13 at Recreation Park. The men's brackets will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Recreation Park. The tournament will conclude on Sunday afternoon with the finals.
