MONROE - The second of three summer tennis tournaments, the 41st annual city doubles tournament, will be Saturday, July 14 and Sunday, July15.
The doubles tournament is sponsored by the Monroe Park and Recreation Department. The tournament is open to anyone. Every team is guaranteed two matches with a consolation side in each bracket.
The tournament will have a Men's Class A, a championship bracket, Class B Open for intermediate teams, a women's open bracket and a 14 and under bracket for boys and girls.
The entry fee is $20 per team for high school age and older, and $10 for the 14 and younger.
The women's and the youth 14 and under will begin at Recreation Park at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 14. The men's brackets will follow at 12:30 p.m. The tournament will conclude on Sunday afternoon.
