Depth carries Black Hawk boys to win

JUDA - Three players scored in double figures to lead the Black Hawk boys basketball team to a 53-38 victory over Juda in Six Rivers East Conference action Tuesday.

Josh Meier and Conner Meyer each scored 13 points, and C.J. Leuzinger added 12 for the Warriors. Leuzinger and Jett Rufenacht each hit two 3-pointers.

Meier scored nine points and Leuzinger had eight in the first half to help Black Hawk gain a 26-17 advantage. Meyer had nine in the second half when the Warriors outscored the Panthers 27-21.

Juda's Matt Schmitt scored 15 points and reached the 1,000-point milestone in his career. Skyler Stuckey added 11, including three of the Panthers' five 3-pointers.



Pecatonica 70, Monticello 39

MONTICELLO - Senior A.J. Hendrickson poured in 21 points to lead the Vikings over the Ponies in a Six Rivers East game.

The Ponies led 6-4 about 4 minutes into the game and then the Vikings went on a 24-6 run. Pecatonica closed the first half on a 16-3 run to build a 43-17 lead.

Sophomore Zack Eaton added 10 points for Pecatonica.

Jon Errthum paced Monticello with 15 points.



New Glarus 69, Waterloo 31

NEW GLARUS - Junior Cullen Brooks and sophomore Jaden Kreklow combined for 37 points to lead the Glarner Knights to victory.

Brooks scored 19 points, including 10 in the first half when New Glarus built a 29-15 lead. Kreklow scored 11 of his 18 points in the second half when the Glarner Knights outscored Waterloo 40-16.

Sophomore Zach Feller pitched in 12 points for New Glarus, including two 3-pointers. Brooks and Kreklow also hit two 3s each.



Darlington 84, Riverdale 30

DARLINGTON - Will Schwartz scored 22 points, Trevor Johnson added 17, and Darlington (16-0) remained undefeated with an easy win over Riverdale.

Schwartz had 16 points in the first half to help the Redbirds gain a 52-11 advantage.
