SOUTH WAYNE - Senior Jordyn Delzer came through with a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Black Hawk softball team a walk-off 5-4 win over Highland on Friday.

Black Hawk scored three runs in the first inning. The Cardinals battled back with a three-run fifth to tie the game at 4.

Black Hawk senior Sammy Lovelace went 2-for-4 with two runs scored.

"We really took advantage of what they gave us," Black Hawk coach Jim Baumgartner said. "All three girls that got on by an error came in to score. They limited us to only three hits until the bottom of the seventh when our bats came to life when we needed them and we banged out three more to get the win. This is a real confidence booster for the playoffs."

Black Hawk freshman Hannah Butler pitched a complete game to get the win. She gave up two earned runs on four hits, struck out 11 and walked two.
