DARLINGTON - The Darlington girls basketball team raced to a 22-4 first-quarter lead and pounded the Iowa-Grant Panthers 71-24 in a Southwest Wisconsin Activities League game Tuesday.
Juniors Cassidy Chambers and Claire Scott each scored 16 points and senior AnnaLisa Ruesga added a career-high 10 points for the Redbirds (12-8, 8-4 SWAL).
Darlington also got 19 points from its bench.
"We played very well as a team and got to play everybody," Darlington coach Mike Chambers said.
Seven players scored in the second quarter as Darlington built a 39-8 halftime lead.
Juda 42, Pardeville 20
PARDEEVILLE - The Juda Panthers held an opponent under 25 points for the 10th time this season in the non-conference win.
Senior Courtney Moisan scored 13 points and senior Ellen Kiser had 12 for the Panthers (15-6, 7-4 Six Rivers East), who close the regular season at Black Hawk on March 1.
