Darlington (0-19) scored five runs in the second and two more in the third to hold a 7-3 lead, but Fennimore scored five in the fourth inning to take the lead for good.
Jenna Foulker pitched five innings for the Redbirds, allowing five hits and six runs. Laura Steiner allowed eight hits and six runs in relief.
Hailey Heins and Jacke Johnson each had two hits for Darlington.
