MADISON - The Darlington High School girls golf team finished in a second-place tie in the WIAA Division 2 Madison Edgewood regional Wednesday at Odana Hills Golf Club to qualify for the sectional as a team.
Edgewood (394) outdueled Darlington and Southwestern-Cuba City (426) for the regional team title. The top four teams advance to the Wisconsin Dells sectional tournament Monday at Trappers Turn.
Lancaster senior Brooke Marcue was the individual regional champion, shooting an 18-over-par 90.
Darlington senior Kinsey Gould finished seventh (99) and senior Alexi Wagner was eighth (101). Darlington junior Kennedy Wagner finished in a three-way tie for 19th (110), and senior Cora Carpenter tied for 23rd (116).
