WIs. Heights 16,

New Glarus 0

NEW GLARUS - The Knights were no-hit in their game against conference leader Wisconsin Heights. As a team, the visiting Vanguards collected 18 hits in their 16-0 win over the Knights.

"We've been playing some good team baseball lately," New Glarus coach Ross Eddy said. "(But) at this point in the season, as our games wind down, and players are trying to get through the grind, we just want everyone to stay on board. Hopefully we can do that in our next game."

New Glarus (1-16, 1-14) will play Waterloo Thursday.

Barneveld 7, Albany 2

BARNEVELD - The Comets dropped a 7-2 decision against Division Four's second-ranked team in Barneveld on Tuesday.

Barneveld's Carson Carmody, Sam Shatrawka and Bryaen Sorensen combined to go 7-for-11 for the Golden Eagles' nine-hit total.

The Comets scored their runs in the first and fifth innings, while Barneveld managed three in the first, two in the fourth, and two again at the bottom of the sixth.

Pecatonica 5, Argyle 4

BLANCHARDVILLE - With his team trailing by four runs entering the fourth inning, Pecatonica coach Jim Strommen saw his team battle back in their 5-4 conference victory over rival Argyle.

The Orioles as a team scored in the first and third innings, and by the fourth inning, Argyle collected two more runs. After switching in Lucas McKeon for Drew Schliem, Strommen saw his team make the needed plays to come back and win.

Pecatonica's Tyler Hodgson tied the game at 4 apiece, but with two outs in the sixth, Vikings freshman A.J. Hendrickson got on base with a single. After stealing second, Hendrickson advanced to third off of a wild pitch by Argyle, and soon after, scored the go-ahead run after another wild throw.

"It was a good comeback win," Strommen said. "With Tyler's (Hodgson) big hit and us not committing any errors, we found a way to win against a big rival."
