MADISON - Senior Carter Sawdey's contested layup attempt rolled off the rim at the buzzer and the Monroe High School boys basketball team fell to Madison Edgewood 53-51 Friday. Monroe senior Alex Tordoff, who scored a game-high 21 points, pushed the ball up the court on the break in the waning seconds, and Monroe coach Brian Bassett called a timeout with 2.3 seconds to go. "I probably should have let Alex go to the basket and not have called the timeout," Bassett said.
