NEW GLARUS - The Glarner Knights picked up a win thanks to a late comeback Friday. After trailing by 13 points headed into the fourth quarter, New Glarus held Poynette scoreless while rallying back to a girls basketball win, 41-34.

"The first three quarters were not impressive," Knights head coach Braden Rindy said. "At the end, the girls knew what they needed to do and they did it. The offense didn't play scared, and we got the ball in the post and knocked down our shots."

New Glarus also hit its free throws down the stretch, going 13-for-15 in the fourth. Alycia Atwell, who scored 18 points to lead the Knights, was 4-for-5 from the charity stripe in the frame and Tanya Gruter (15 points) was a perfect 6-for-6.

"Free throws were big for us tonight," Rindy said. "And it's nice to get a win at home."
