MONROE - The Monroe volleyball team capitalized on each one of Beloit Turner's miscues to topple the Trojans in three sets in a non-conference match on Tuesday.

Monroe senior Alicia Kuester had a team-high 10 kills and three blocks to lead the Cheesemakers to a 25-11, 25-10, 25-12 victory. With the win, Monroe improves to 7-7, 0-2 Badger South.

"We just capitalized on the sideouts we had," Monroe coach Heidi Witt said. "Beloit Turner made a lot of mistakes and we cruised. We played to our level and stayed up the whole time. They (Monroe) are definitely building up some great momentum."

Monroe junior Sydney Mathiason posted eight kills, two blocks and three aces. Junior teammate Alysha Witt delivered 15 assists and senior Hannah Neuenschwander added nine assists. Senior Lexi Hilliard had a team-high six digs. Alexis Allen also notched three aces and senior Chloe Schroeder and junior Payton Sigafus each added two blocks.

Monroe will host Oregon Thursday in a Badger South Conference match.
