MILTON - Monroe senior Jonah Tostrud scored a game-high 21 points to help the Cheesemakers roll to a 72-49 win over Milton Friday.

There were 11 different players who scored for the Cheesemakers (6-6, 4-3 Badger South), led by Tostrud and senior Brayden Zettle (18).

"He (Tostrud) scored a lot of layups with his back to the basket and he made 6 of 9 free throws," Monroe coach Brian Bassett said of Tostrud. "He did it all."

The Cheesemakers made 20 of 31 free throws and Zettle was 7 of 7 from the charity stripe. The Red Hawks made 17 of 26 free throws. Monroe junior Max Lange added 9 points.

"The attempts are great. (But) we fouled too much," Bassett said. "It was a good bounce back. We have to figure out how to put two good games together. We lost one (Tuesday to Watertown) and I knew we would win this one. Now we have to see if we can put two good performances together."

Monroe will host Lena-Winslow at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.
