Cheese struggle on road

STOUGHTON - The Cheesemakers lost a highly competitive boys golf match to the Vikings, 168-171, Monday.

"We did not play very well and gave up an opportunity to beat Stoughton on their home course," Monroe coach Jeriamy Jackson said.

Aaron Krattiger and Kyle Bruce each carded a 5-over-par 40 to lead Monroe.

"Aaron and Kyle played through some early adversity and came back with a great score. They showed some heart by continuing to work and get better as their round went on," Jackson said.

Mitch McArdle shot a 44, Brandon Wilson shot a 47, and Garrett Voegeli had a 54 for the Cheesemakers.

"It wasn't the greatest scoring day for Brandon, Mitch and Garrett. But we don't have time to worry about that and I'm sure they will bounce back at home (today) against Fort Atkinson," Jackson said.
