DODGEVILLE - Monroe sophomore Kylee Ritschard scored two goals and had an assist to propel the Cheesemakers to a 4-0 win Monday night over Dodgeville.
Monroe (1-3-2, 0-2-1 Badger South) picked up its first win of the season by dominating the game on the offensive end.
"A lot of it is psychological and believing they can go out there, be competitive and score goals in every game," Monroe coach Miriam O'Neill said.
Monroe senior Catie Eiserman scored the Cheesemakers' first goal on an assist from Ritschard at 10 minutes, 9 seconds. Ritschard scored her first goal at 17:05 to give the Cheesemakers a 2-0 lead. She added her second goal on an assist by Chelsea Haffele at 24:09 to give the Cheesemakers an insurmounatble 3-0 lead.
"She (Ritschard) is becoming a nice goal scorer for us," O'Neill said. Monroe senior Erin Solawetz scored the final goal on an assist from Pam Lehman.
"They completely dominated the game," O'Neill said. "There have been other games we have dominated, but we didn't manage the goals. Tonight we scored the goals."
Monroe hosts Wisconsin Heights at 5 p.m. today at Honey Creek Park.
