MOUNT HOREB - The Cheesemakers avenged last year's WIAA Division 2 regional final loss to Mount Horeb with a 49-40 come-from-behind non-conference win on Saturday.
The Vikings (6-4) led 31-28 after three quarters, but Monroe, led by senior Michael Barrett, rallied in the fourth, scoring 21 points.
Barrett finished as the game's top scorer, pouring in 22 points for the undefeated Cheesemakers (9-0). Bryan Tordoff had nine points and Andrew Armstrong added seven. Tordoff and Barrett each hit a 3-pointer and Damien Penniston knocked down two 3s for Monroe.
The Cheesemakers get right back into action Tuesday at home when they host Clinton (8-1) in another non-conference matchup.
