The Monroe girls soccer team continued its offensive fireworks with a 6-1 win over Wisconsin Heights Friday.

Monroe junior Kylee Ritschard scored two goals and had two assists and sophomore Chelsea Haffele scored two goals to lead the Cheesemakers to their second straight win. For Monroe (2-0), the victory came with a cost, as junior Abbey Schneider injured her knee and left the field by ambulance.

Monroe coach Miriam O'Neill didn't want to speculate on the type of injury.

O'Neill said Schneider will probably miss at least a couple of weeks.

Haffele scored the Cheesemakers' first goal at 23 minutes, 49 seconds. Junior midfielder Briana Beck added a goal on a pass from Ritschard about 30 seconds later.

Ritschard scored her first goal on an assist from senior Chrissy Marti at 39:20. Haffele added a second goal off a pass from Ritschard. Domenisha Underwood scored a goal that was set up by a Ritschard corner kick. After Ritschard's corner kick, Haffele found Underwood, who gave the Cheesemakers an insurmountable lead. Ritschard capped the scoring with an unassisted goal.

"It took us a while to get in the swing of the game," O'Neill said. "It was nice to score from a corner kick. It was our goal to score off a corner kick. It's what we have talked about after the Dodgeville game."
