STEVENS POINT - The Lady Cheesemakers opened the Sentry Classic at UW-Stevens Point with a resounding victory against Northland Pines, 65-43.
"We jumped out to a 13-0 lead and just kept it on from there," coach Kevin Keen said.
Monroe led 30-11 at halftime and 50-24 after the third quarter.
"We got everybody some playing time tonight," Keen said.
Ten of the 11 players on the roster reached the scoreboard.
Ashley Hermanson scored 16 points to lead the Cheesemakers (6-0). Jamie Armstrong had 12 points and both Jaclyn Ditter and Chelsea Brice added eight. Monroe went 16-for-23 from the free throw line.
The Cheesemakers play Eau Claire Memorial today at 1:30 p.m.
