NEW GLARUS - Marshall senior Kiana Canon scored a game-high 21 points to propel the Cardinals to a 66-55 win over the New Glarus High School girls basketball team to take over sole possession atop the Capitol South Conference.

New Glarus senior Tamara Elzen drilled three 3-pointers and scored a team-high 16 points. Senior teammate Vanessa Narveson added 11 points, and McKinley Righter had 10 points.

New Glarus drops to 12-3, 4-1 Capitol South, which is one game behind Marshall (16-0, 5-0).

Marshall junior Elizabeth Lutz made 11 of 18 free throws and finished with 17 points.
