Cards pin Big Foot; Raiders win big

BRODHEAD - The Brodhead-Juda wrestling team used some power to dominate Big Foot-Williams Bay 61-15 in a dual meet Tuesday night.

The Cardinals received six pins in 14 weight classes en route to the victory.

Brodhead-Juda's Aaron Pratt at 119 pounds pinned Kevin Molitor in 1 minute, 6 seconds. At 125, the Cardinals received a pin from Ben Boozzier against Anthony Malone in 4:22.

Brodhead-Juda's Mitchel Wiesenberg (130) pinned Big Foot-Williams Bay's Peter Reuss in 1:41. Cale Zettle (140) pinned Kyle Rambatt in 1:42 and Hunter Colden (145) won by pin over Chanse Chentenik in 40 seconds. Cody Spooner (215), a sectional qualifier last year, pinned Gunner Handl in 1:49.

Brodhead senior Devin Setitz (160) defeated Bo Croswell 9-3. Brodhead-Juda's Ben Conway beat Jon Petkoff in a major decision, 16-4.

Sugar River 55, Wisconsin Heights 9

MAZOMANIE - The Raiders steamrolled to a 55-9 win over Wisconsin Heights in a dual meet Tuesday.

The Vanguards forfeited eight of the 14 matches. Most of the points Sugar River gave up were on forfeits at 103, 119 and heavyweight.

Sugar River sophomore Brooks Hendrickson (135) pinned Wisconsin Heights' Jacob Sutcliffe in 3:10.

At 145, Sugar River senior Tom Veterlli won in a technical fall over Justin Rhodes in 5:47. Senior Dan Nolden (160) pinned Kurt Meier in 5:42. Junior Michael Nolden (189) defeated Lonye Howell 9-3.
