DEERFIELD - The Brodhead-Juda wrestling team finished third place at the Deerfield Scramble on Saturday.
The Cardinals had four wrestlers finish second place, including freshman Justin Sangermano at 106 pounds, senior Kramer Lewis (160), junior Hunter Colden (170) and Gavin Baade (182).
Hunter Colden finished 3-1 with three pins at 170 and his only loss came due to an injury default. Lewis and Baade each finished 3-1 with two pins. In the championship match, Lewis lost to Milwaukee Tech's Devondrick Bankston 4-3. Baade was edged by Random Lake's Jake Schwan 2-0.
Sangermano went 2-2 with two pins and lost to Mishicot's Luke Finnel in his final match, 15-0. Brodhead-Juda freshmen Brady Colden (145) and Logan Maurer (heavyweight) each took fourth.
