BRODHEAD - Dana Lewis scored 12 points and the Cardinals opened up their girls basektball conference season with a rousing 46-36 win Friday over East Troy.
Brodhead used an 18-8 run in the second quarter to put distance between itself and East Troy. At halftime, the Cardinals led 27-16.
Freshman Taylor Douglas scored nine points, including a big 3-pointer. Senior Amanda Johnson and freshman Amanda Pickel each added a 3-pointer and Mariah Mohns scored eight points for Brodhead (1-1).
