Cardinals win; Pec blown out

BRODHEAD - Junior J.J. Panoske exploded for 33 points Thursday night, lifting the Brodhead Cardinals to a 73-58 win over the Clinton Cougars in Rock Valley South conference action.

The Cardinals led 26-25 at halftime, but used a big third quarter to jump out to a 46-34 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Junior Carson Scheidigger scored 11 points while senior Jake Cole added 10 points to help the Cardinals (2-1, 1-0 in the Rock Valley South).

Brodhead will travel to Orfordville Parkview Tuesday.

Lancaster 47, Pecatonica 31

LANCASTER - The Lancaster Flying Arrows used a 13-4 advantage in the fourth quarter to pull away from the Vikings, 47-31, in non-conference action Thursday night.

Senior Jeremy Meudt led the Vikings with 13 points. Devin Jeglum and Jason Meudt chipped in with six points a piece.

Lancaster's Nathan Buddack led all scorers with 22 points.

Pecatonica (1-1) will host Potosi Monday night.
