PALMYRA - The Brodhead girls basketball team wrapped up its regular season with a 56-38 win over Palmyra-Eagle, finishing as the Rock Valley South champion.
The Cardinals (17-3, 15-1) shut down Palmyra-Eagle from the get go, leading 10-5 after the first quarter and 29-13 at halftime.
Junior forward Dana Lewis scored a game-high 22 points for the Cardinals. Senior Kristen Ruchti had 13 points and Alyssa Harding had 9.
Brodhead now prepares for its first game of the playoffs, which is Tuesday, Feb. 24 at home against Platteville.
