Butler-Paulson named Six Rivers East's top player

MONROE - The postseason honors keep rolling in for the Argyle volleyball team. Argyle senior Kayla Butler-Paulson was named the Six Rivers East Conference Player of the Year.

Butler-Paulson was one of two Argyle players named first-team all-conference. Argyle junior Ashley Bruehlman also was named first-team all-conference. The Orioles repeated as conference champions and lost in a sectional semifinal match to Randolph.

The other first-team all-conference selections were Juda senior Sara Jordan, Black Hawk senior Sam Lovelace, Pecatonica senior Lizzy Tisch and Barneveld senior Teegan Pickarts.

Black Hawk senior Jordyn Delzer was named second-team all-conference. In addition to Delzer, the other second-team all-conference selections included Monticello senior Jessie Garrison, Albany senior Sayde McDermott, Argyle sophomore Jena Saalsaa, Juda senior Chelsea Burkhalter and Barneveld junior Taryn Pickarts.

Monticello had three players named honorable mention all-conference including sophomore Hannah Zanow, senior Chandler Hansen and senior Brie Graber. The other honorable mention all-conference picks by coaches were Pecatonica senior Lexi Phillips, Pecatonica junior Taetum Pagel, Juda senior Alexis Goecks, Black Hawk senior Elizabeth Holland, Argyle senior Morgan Godfrey, Black Hawk junior Hannah Herbst, Barneveld senior Abigail Sutter and Barneveld senior Mia Whitish.
