BRODHEAD - The Brodhead girls basketball team continued its hot streak, knocking off McFarland 48-38 for its fourth straight win.
Brodhead (4-1, 2-1 Rock Valley South) was led by junior Amber Pickel who scored a team-high 15 points. Junior teammate Kylie Moe scored 12 points and senior Brooke Boegli added 11 points.
The Cardinals made 22 of 33 free throws and used a 17-7 run in the second quarter to open up a nine-point lead at the half.
