Brodhead places third at Pec-Argyle

BRODHEAD - The Brodhead Wrestling Club had seven individuals finish in the top two places of their age group and the club finished third as a team at the Pecatonica-Argyle tournament on Sunday, Jan. 29.

Marcus McIntyre was the lone undefeated wrestler, going 3-0 and recording a pin in the Kindergarten Division.

In the 4K Division, Brooks Malkow went 3-2 with two pins to finish second.

In the Kindergarten Division, Grayson Erb went 3-2 and had two pins and Joseph Lohmar went 2-1 with a pair of falls to each post runner-up finishes.

Three Brodhead wrestlers were placed second in the Second Grade Division, Brady Malkow leading the way with a 4-1 record and two pins.

Gavyn Wendelschafter went 2-1 with two pins and Cole Hoesley was 2-1 with a fall to notch to also finish second.

Brayden Erb was a runner-up in the Third Grade Division with a 2-1 record.

Third-place finishers for the Brodhead Wrestling Club included Gunner Goegli in the Kindergarten Division, Blake Doran and Taetum Hoesly in First Grade, Jacob Lohmar, Gage Boegli and Aaron Makos in Second Grade, Grant Rosheisen in Third Grade and Kaleb Erb in Sixth Grade.
