Brodhead-Juda rolls Edgerton; Raiders win

BRODHEAD - The Brodhead-Juda wrestling team in dominating fashion rolled to a 72-9 win over Edgerton Thursday.

The Cardinals won eight of the 10 matches wrestled and the Crimson Tide forfeited four matches. Brodhead-Juda's Jordan Kraak, at 103 pounds, pinned Austin Vine in 4 minutes, 51 seconds. Cody Knudtson (112) pinned Edgerton's Lindsay Hodges in 39 seconds. Brodhead-Juda's Clayton Spriggs (119) pinned Robert Reynolds in 57 seconds and Nano Heredia (130) pinned Tesh Jones in 45 seconds.

Brodhead-Juda sophomore Hunter Colden (152) pinned Peter Linsley in 2:28. The Cardinals also received pins from Ben Dodd (171), Casey Flannery (189) and senior heavyweight Dylan Severson.

Sugar River 57, Waterloo 21

BELLEVILLE - The Sugar River wrestling team won seven of the 10 matches they wrestled en route to a 57-21 win over Waterloo Thursday.

The Raiders recorded six pins and Waterloo forfeited three matches.

Sugar River's Anthony Chiarello at 119 pounds pinned Brandon Smith in 3 minutes, 56 seconds. Evan Dorn (125) pinned Waterloo's Logan Kugler in 16 seconds.

Sugar River's Brett Grinder (130) defeated Hans Skalitzky 6-5. Sugar River's Young-Chul Vetterli pinned Josh Tomaseushi in 1:36 and Brooks Hendrickson pinned Garrett Mattson in 1:04.

The Raiders also received a pin from Hunter Garhett.
