PLATTEVILLE - Monroe co-player/ manager Lon Scheuerell gave the Brewers a lift hitting a two-run first inning home run to spark a 5-3 Home Talent League baseball win on Sunday.
The Brewers (2-1) won their second straight game after posting three runs in the first.
In the fourth, Adam Sherer led off with a single and Shaun Dascher came through with an RBI double.
Fellow player-manager Rooney Janecke led off the fifth with a double and scored on an error.
Ben Korth pitched six innings to get the win. He struck out five. Justin Hahn pitched three shutout innings in relief.
Dodgeville 9, Blanchardville 1
BLANCHARDVILLE - Errors plagued the Blanchardville Bullets in a 9-1 loss to Dodgeville on Sunday.
Blanchardville (0-3) had six errors. A dropped fly ball in the first inning led two two unearned runs for the Knights and sparked a four-run inning.
The Bullets also had two throwing errors that led to two runs in the sixth.
Blanchardville's Josh Hathaway pitched six innings and gave up just three earned runs on seven hits. He struck out five and walked four.
Aaron Olson went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Bullets.
Ridgeway 5, Argyle 3
Argyle had Ridgeway on the ropes in a Home Talent League game on Saturday with a 3-1 lead in the ninth inning.
Argyle (0-3) had trouble closing out the game as Ridgeway's Miles Rollie hit a two-out, two-run double to tie the score. Tyler Peterson hit a two-run home run later in the ninth to lift Ridgeway to the comeback win over Argyle.
Argyle was led by Tyler Richards (3-for-4). Argyle's Ben Wallace pitched seven innings and struck out nine.
