SOUTH WAYNE - On Wednesday, May 2 the Black Hawk High School and Youth Wrestling teams came together to celebrate their seasons at the South Wayne Community Park.
The youth wrestlers took first place at two tournaments and second place at two tournaments this year. Five youth wrestlers made it to the state meet. The state qualifiers, include Colby Argall, Owen Huschitt, Hunter Bredeson, Cade Meyer and Jared Kingery. Each wrestler competed in the state meet in March.
Black Hawk High School sent Jared Picket to sectionals. Scholarships were given to Patrick Mahoney and Crystal Novak.
