BLANCHARDVILLE - Black Hawk freshman Conner Meyer scored a team-high 25 points and the Warriors had four players in double figures to tip the Pecatonica High School boys basketball team 72-69 in the regular-season finale Thursday night.

Black Hawk junior Josh Meier added 19 points, and senior Chase Stietz had 14 points, including four 3-pointers. Sophomore teammate C.J. Leuzinger chipped in 12 points and hit two 3-pointers.

With the win, Black Hawk (11-11, 6-6 Six Rivers East) spoiled the Vikings' Senior Night.

"They (Black Hawk) did a really good job of utilizing their big guys and size," Pecatonica coach Matt Fink said. "They have some really good young players."

Pecatonica junior A.J. Hendrickson scored a game-high 30 points. Senior teammate Brooks Chandler added 18 points.

Fink said the Vikings will have to treat it like a wake-up call going in to the tournament.

"We are disappointed we lost," he said. "It bothers us. That's a good thing. The games that matter start Tuesday night. We wanted to stay on a roll going into the tournament. It didn't happen. We will get ready for Tuesday to make a tournament run."

Pecatonica (17-5, 9-3) received a No. 3 seed and will host 14th-seed Highland in a regional quarterfinal on Tuesday.
