POTOSI - Rachel Rygh hit four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 28 points as Black Hawk routed Potosi 55-39 Monday night.
"We've been pretty balanced in our scoring all year long but tonight we weren't. Rygh was feeling it," Black Hawk head coach Mike Flanagan said. "And it was nice to see the other girls recognize that and get her the ball. Potosi hit a couple of late 3s, but we led by about 20 for most of the game."
Melissa Wellnitz scored 18 points and hit two 3s for the Warriors, who have opened the season with four dominating performances.
"Melissa took advantage of some opportunities," Flanagan said. "Potosi was playing a 1-2-2 zone and some of our normal scorers couldn't do what they normally do, but Melissa and Rachel played great."
As a team, the Warriors hit seven 3s but shot just 4 of 14 from the free-throw line. Black Hawk led 35-17 at halftime.
The Warriors return to action Thursday at home against Barneveld.

Argyle scored just five points in the first half and trailed 30-11 after three quarters.
Kelsey Bartels led the Orioles with four points.
Argyle travels to Pecatonica Thursday.
