Black Hawk drowns NG; Juda, Argyle score wins

NEW GLARUS - Black Hawk sophomore Natalie Leuzinger scored a game-high 21 points and knocked down five 3-pointers to help the Warriors run away with a 77-36 win over New Glarus in a nonconference game Tuesday.

Leuzinger, a Division 5 Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association All-State player last year, made 7 of 19 shots and was 5 of 10 on 3-pointers. The Warriors as a team made 16 3s.

Black Hawk freshman Bailey Butler scored 19 points and also drilled five 3s. Bailey's sophomore sister, Hannah Butler, added 15 points, and sophomore Maddy Huschitt chipped in 11 points.

With the win, Black Hawk moves to 2-0. With the loss, New Glarus drops to 2-2.



Jefferson 61, Brodhead 44

BRODHEAD - Senior Erin Nyhus scored a game-high 17 points, but Jefferson had a big first half to cruise to the win.

Jefferson outscored the Cardinals 27-15 in the first half. Jefferson's Callie Morrison had a team-high 16 points and parker Fetherston added 14 points.

Brodhead sophomore Carissa Purdue added 10 points.



Juda 40, Madison Abundant Life 17

MADISON - Juda's Montana Steinmann and senior Hailey Kammerer combined to score 15 points to power the Panthers over Madison Abundant Life.

Steinamnn scored 8 points and Kammerer added 7 points. Juda raced out to a 19-8 lead at the half and never looked back.

Argyle 68, Belmont 53

BELMONT - The Argyle girls basketball team stayed unbeaten with a 68-53 nonconference victim over Belmont.

With the win, Argyle improves to 4-0. No other information was provided at press time.
